python-ns3 software package provides Python binding of ns3, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-ns3
python-ns3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-ns3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-ns3 *
You will get with python-ns3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
